Message Well, I finally got all my parts in to build my own Dual intake, Dual maf setup. Yea I used eBay for parts, but as long as you know what you are looking for and getting it isnt so bad, just have to search and purchase with caution. I used the FAQ guide for wiring to my SAFC.

I also ordered two new 3" filters from eBay.

Along with two 90 degree 2.5" to 3" elbows

Everything installed nicely used a spare MAF I had and began the install. I had to play with the couplers a little to angle the filters correctly, or at least the way I liked them. I measured and cut some metal straps for support and secured the filters so they dont bounce around and my close to final result.

I do notice a difference with the dual maf/intake setup. The car runs smoother and it does spool faster. I also notice the air flow on the SAFC goes to 100% most of the time you touch the throttle, I watch my injector duty on the AVC-R and its normal. My assumption is since the SAFC is set to 2 intake lines and ADD it adds up the two voltages from the MAFs and uses the total on a 5v scale. Other than that I am quite satisfied with a dual intake that cost about $67, since I already had the SAFC. There is nothing wrong with the JWT, SPL, or Ash's Doolz. I just found a cheaper solution that I didnt mind building.

Also, for those of you in warmer climates, like FL such as myself, here is a cheap and easy way to improve cooling efficiency. I went to Home Depot and purchased an A/C intake vent for home HVACs. Installed it on the rear engine splash shield.

Here it is mounted

I started the car while on the jack stands and closed the hood, turned the AC on and then went back underneath to check the airflow coming out of the vent, you would be surprised how much will come out. After installing this exhaust/vent my coolant temps dont go above 180 degrees on a full stock cooling setup, whereas before I would see up to 210 degrees.
